Responsibilities include setting up, preparing meals, serving refreshments, playing board games and tidying up.

Gardening Club

We are looking for volunteers to help support our gardener and weekly gardening group.

Requirements

All you need is a passion for gardening and a willingness to share your experience with a small group of people who make up the Gardening Group.

There is no barrier to the gardening activities we can offer, so this is your opportunity to get creative as you help us to plan what we do in the garden for wildlife and sustainable food growing and work with the group on jobs around the rear garden and paved area.

Application Process

Volunteers will need to sign up and agree to Hargrave Hall’s Safeguarding Policy and training.

To register your interest or submit your CV with covering letter, please email us at info@hargravehall.co.uk or pop in a collect an volunteer form.

Volunteering

Volunteering is all about offering to help your community by using your skills and talents and making a difference in other people’s lives. It also offers you the opportunity to gain confidence and develop new skills!

We encourage people to join in from all sections of the community – this is your chance to help other people!

New volunteer roles come up regularly so if there is nothing here for you today you can subscribe to our newsletter and be the first to find out when new opportunities arise.

If you are looking to give back to your community please go to our projects page to see the latest news on each!

Trustees

Becoming a Trustee is about giving back to your community, using your professional skills to gain or expand your strategic planning skills, make sure the charity is run properly and uses its funds and assets wisely. And of course, ultimately, making sure it delivers on its charitable obligations.

Time commitment

We currently hold monthly Board meetings.  These are usually held in the evenings, but meetings may occasionally take place at other times.  Most meetings are currently held via Zoom.  Trustees are also encouraged to assume a specialist responsibility which could lead to involvement in specific strategic projects or sub-groups and a contribution of additional time.

We are currently looking for Trustees with the following experience.

  • Fundraising
  • HR and Safeguarding
  • Volunteering
  • Income generation

We are also looking for Trustees who can give a fresh perspective on the centre and how it impacts the local community.

To apply please send us your CV and a short expression of interest and reference to which role you are hoping to fill, of no more than 2 pages to Development Manager, Tina Wiseman at tina@hargravehall.co.uk.
